How to Nurture YourRelationship with Your Soul

Selena Lael
Selena Lael
Jul 21, 2022
10 min read

In this opening session of a five-week series, wellness coach and self-love mentor Selena Lael invites participants into an exploration of the soul—not as an abstract theological concept, but as a felt, living presence that can be cultivated and nurtured in everyday life. The session, streamed live on Insight Timer, begins with a simple centering technique and opens into a teaching on what the soul is, how it relates to our human experience, and why developing a conscious relationship with it can bring alignment, compassion, and a sense of wholeness.

Lael emphasizes from the outset that participants are welcome regardless of their beliefs. Whether someone holds a deep spiritual worldview, identifies as atheist or agnostic, or is simply curious, the session is framed as an open exploration rather than a prescriptive doctrine. This inclusive tone runs throughout the teaching, acknowledging that the relationship with soul is personal and experiential, not something to be agreed upon intellectually.

What Is the Soul?

Lael describes the soul as "this aspect of you that has been with you lifetime after lifetime." She clarifies that this is her experience and the tradition she has learned from, which includes belief in reincarnation. The soul is understood as eternal, existing before the current body and continuing after it dissolves. It is not the personality, not the mind, not the emotions—but rather a constant, compassionate presence that underlies all of those shifting experiences.

She distinguishes between soul and Source (or God, Spirit, the Divine—language varies by tradition). In the teaching Lael shares, Source is the ultimate unity, the singular divine reality from which everything emerges. The soul is an individualized expression of that Source—like a ray of sunlight emanating from the sun. "We are all this one sun," she explains, using the metaphor to illustrate non-duality: there is no true separation between soul and Source, yet the soul carries a unique expression and journey.

This distinction helps clarify a common confusion in spiritual discourse: the soul is not separate from the divine, but it is also not the totality of it. It is both individual and universal, a paradox that can be felt more than understood. Lael invites participants to notice that the soul "has been with you lifetime after lifetime," carrying wisdom, themes, and a continuity that the personality does not.

How Does the Soul Relate to Daily Life?

One of the core questions Lael addresses is how the soul shows up—or often does not show up—in the texture of daily human life. She paints a vivid picture of the human condition: mental energy pulled in multiple directions, emotions scattered, physical pain or discomfort creating a sense of fragmentation. In this state, the soul can feel distant or inaccessible, like a quiet voice drowned out by the noise of survival, fear, anger, and distraction.

According to Lael, the soul does not judge these states. It does not see the human struggle as wrong or lacking. Instead, it waits "patiently, caringly," holding an endless well of compassion. The soul's presence is not conditional on our worthiness or our spiritual progress. It is always there, even in what Lael calls "the throes of despair" or "these dark places, these painful" moments. The soul does not leave us, even when we feel abandoned or lost.

She contrasts the soul's perspective with the "fearful mind of man," the survival-oriented, problem-solving aspect of consciousness that fixates on lack, comparison, and control. The mind asks: "How can I have enough money so that I…" or "If I just had a better job or a better…" The soul, by contrast, is not concerned with these conditional scenarios. It is not trying to fix or improve the human personality. It simply is—present, loving, and whole.

What Would It Feel Like for Your Soul to Fill You?

Midway through the session, Lael poses a question that serves as both a teaching and a meditation prompt: "What would it feel like for your soul to fill me with your love?" This question shifts the exploration from intellectual understanding to embodied experience. Rather than trying to define the soul or believe in it, participants are invited to sense it, to open to the possibility of its presence.

Lael suggests that when we turn our attention toward the soul, "there's an energy here in this space together. There's something that starts to wake up within us." This is not a metaphor—she describes a tangible shift in the quality of awareness, a softening, a spaciousness. The soul's energy is characterized by acceptance, non-judgment, and a deep "yes" to life as it is. There is no immediate need to fix, change, or transcend anything. The soul simply holds everything with love.

This teaching challenges the common spiritual impulse to escape or rise above the messy, painful parts of being human. Lael emphasizes that the soul does not require us to be bright, healed, or enlightened in order to connect with it. "I invite you to be here just as you are," she says, "whether you feel like you're as bright as the sun or in a dark hole right now." The soul's compassion is unconditional, and cultivating a relationship with it begins with allowing that compassion to touch us exactly where we are.

A Centering Practice: Aligning Body, Mind, and Spirit

Before diving into the teaching, Lael leads participants through a centering technique drawn from yoga. This practice is both simple and profound: it uses breath and movement to bring scattered energy back into alignment. Participants stand or sit, placing hands together at the heart. On an inhale, one arm reaches straight up while the other hand moves down by the navel, fingers pointing up. On a slow exhale, the hands return to the heart, moving "as slowly as you can, like you're moving through honey."

The technique is repeated three or four times, alternating arms. Lael explains that this practice can be done anytime throughout the day as a reset—whenever mental energy feels pulled in different directions, emotions feel chaotic, or physical discomfort creates a sense of being off-center. The slow, deliberate breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system, signaling the body to relax. The focused movement gives the mind something to anchor to, interrupting the loop of anxious or scattered thoughts.

But beyond its physiological benefits, the centering technique is also a symbolic gesture: it enacts the alignment that the soul offers. It brings everything back to the heart, the traditional seat of the soul in many wisdom traditions. By practicing this simple ritual, participants are not just calming the nervous system—they are training the whole being to return, again and again, to a place of inner coherence and presence.

Non-Duality and the Soul's Perspective

Lael touches on non-duality—the teaching that there is ultimately no separation between self and Source, between individual soul and the divine whole. "There is no…" she begins, describing the soul's reality as one of oneness. This can be a challenging concept to grasp intellectually, because it seems to contradict the lived experience of being a separate person with a distinct body, mind, and story.

Yet Lael is not asking participants to believe in non-duality or to transcend their sense of individuality. Instead, she offers it as a lens through which to view the soul's experience. From the soul's perspective, there is no fundamental separation. The dramas, anger, rage, and suffering that dominate the human experience are not ultimate realities—they are waves on the surface of a vast, still ocean. The soul sees through them, not by denying or dismissing them, but by holding a wider view.

This teaching has practical implications. If the soul does not identify with the personality's wounds and patterns, then connecting with the soul offers a way to access a part of ourselves that is not defined by those wounds. It does not mean the wounds disappear, but it does mean we are not only our wounds. There is something in us that is "beyond precious," as Lael puts it—something that cannot be damaged or diminished, no matter what we have experienced.

How to Begin: Turning Attention Toward the Soul

So how does one actually begin to cultivate this relationship with the soul? Lael's approach is both meditative and devotional. She suggests practices like softening the gaze, closing the eyes, and simply asking: "What is my experience of soul?" Rather than seeking a conceptual answer, the question invites a felt sense, an intuition, a quiet knowing that arises in the space of open attention.

She also emphasizes the importance of invitation. Throughout the session, Lael repeats phrases like "Fill me with your love" and "I invite you fully, wholly, just as you are." This language of invitation acknowledges that the soul cannot be commanded or grasped. It must be welcomed. The relationship is one of receptivity, not effort. It is less about doing and more about allowing—allowing the soul's presence to become conscious, to infuse the body, mind, and emotions with its spacious, loving awareness.

Lael notes that this retraining takes time. We are conditioned to live from the mind, from the personality, from the reactive patterns formed in childhood and reinforced over years. Turning toward the soul is a gentle, patient process. "This is how we retrain things," she says, encouraging participants to return to the practice again and again, without judgment or urgency.

The Soul's Compassion in the Dark Night

One of the most moving parts of the session is when Lael speaks to those who are in pain. She acknowledges that many people come to spiritual teachings from a place of suffering—"stuck in old wounds and patterns that seem to keep repeating," as she describes in her channel introduction. She does not offer platitudes or quick fixes. Instead, she offers the soul's perspective: it does not see you as broken. It does not need you to be different. It is "patiently waiting, caring," holding you in love even when you cannot feel it.

This teaching reframes the spiritual journey. It is not about becoming worthy of love or finally healing enough to deserve peace. The soul's love is already present. The work is simply to notice it, to let it in, to rest in the truth that "we are not separate from the soul." Even in the darkest moments, the soul has not abandoned us. It is closer than breath, quieter than thought, and infinitely patient.

Where to Go from Here

This session is the first in a five-week series, which suggests that the themes introduced here—what the soul is, how to sense its presence, how to align with its compassion—will be deepened and explored in subsequent teachings. Lael encourages participants to join the community on Insight Timer, to practice the centering technique daily, and to begin asking themselves: What would it feel like to live from the soul's perspective? What would change if you remembered, moment by moment, that you are not separate from this eternal, compassionate presence?

For those new to this kind of exploration, the invitation is to start simply. Close your eyes. Place your hands on your heart. Ask to feel your soul's presence. Notice what arises—whether it is a sense of warmth, spaciousness, peace, or simply a quiet curiosity. There is no right answer, no correct experience. The soul meets you exactly where you are. And in that meeting, something begins to shift—not because you are fixing or improving yourself, but because you are remembering what has always been true.

[5:52] home page here on the app

[5:54] you can just join the 30-day affirmation

[5:57] challenge i'm one of the teachers

[6:00] in that and it's been so wonderful

[6:02] getting to

[6:04] experience all of these different

[6:05] affirmation meditations that have been

[6:07] shared with the community

[6:12] all right hi everyone

[6:14] welcome to those of you just joining

[6:18] so wonderful

[6:21] all right

[6:23] so before we dive into our experience

[6:27] well actually it's it's part of the

[6:28] experience so let's dive into our

[6:30] experience

[6:32] and uh start with the centering

[6:34] technique many of you have

[6:36] practiced this

[6:38] simple yet powerful technique with me

[6:40] many times

[6:42] for some maybe it's a new technique it's

[6:44] an ancient

[6:47] technique yoga technique

[6:50] you're welcome to practice this standing

[6:52] or seated

[6:54] and

[6:55] i'll scoot back a little so you can see

[6:56] me

[6:57] but you can kind of use your imagination

[6:59] and of course if you can't move your

[7:01] body for any reason you can just

[7:03] visualize this the power of the mind

[7:08] is incredible so

[7:10] let's start with the hands touching at

[7:12] the heart

[7:15] sit tall

[7:17] relax the shoulders down

[7:19] and this technique is really about

[7:22] aligning ourselves in our daily lives

[7:25] maybe our mental energy is pulled here

[7:28] and here and here and our emotions feel

[7:30] like they're all over the place or maybe

[7:32] there's some kind of physical pain that

[7:34] makes us feel like it's pulling us out

[7:36] of some sense of

[7:38] centeredness within ourselves so this

[7:40] technique brings everything back into

[7:43] alignment everything back into harmony

[7:46] we can practice it

[7:48] as many times as we like throughout the

[7:49] day

[7:50] and it really does help kind of bring

[7:52] this centeredness to our beingness

[7:56] so at the hands at the heart i'll mirror

[7:58] you we'll start with the right hand

[8:00] you're really welcome to start with

[8:01] either hand though

[8:04] inhale reach your right arm all the way

[8:06] up straighten the elbow if you can and

[8:08] the left hand comes down by the navel

[8:10] fingers point up

[8:12] and then exhale slowly like you're

[8:14] moving through honey

[8:17] to bring the hands all the way back to

[8:18] the heart where they gently touch

[8:22] slow deep inhalation the left arm

[8:25] reaches all the way up straight in the

[8:27] elbow if you can the right hand comes

[8:29] down by the navel

[8:31] exhale as slowly as you can to bring the

[8:34] hands back to the heart

[8:36] really take your time

[8:41] and we'll go one more time on the right

[8:42] side inhale right arm reaches up

[8:45] left hand moves down by navel but the

[8:47] fingers point up

[8:50] exhale slowly slowly

[8:54] all the way back to the heart

[9:03] feel the thumbs gently touching the

[9:05] chest

[9:07] the palms gently touching

[9:09] close the eyes

[9:14] feel

[9:15] your innermost self

[9:25] thank you

[9:27] so we did three rounds yes right left

[9:31] right you're welcome to do four if you

[9:33] prefer even numbers

[9:35] you're welcome to do this

[9:36] more than three or four times

[9:39] as you wish and again you can do it as

[9:41] many times as you like throughout the

[9:43] day it's a really wonderful little reset

[9:46] energetically and then of course just

[9:48] physically when we breathe in this way

[9:50] we're activating the parasympathetic

[9:52] nervous system that relaxation response

[9:54] inside

[9:56] and giving our mind something to focus

[9:58] on for a few breaths which can also

[10:01] bring a greater experience of

[10:03] calm and ease

[10:08] all right

[10:10] nourishing

[10:12] the relationship with the soul

[10:15] i feel so far from you i feel like i

[10:17] wanted to speak

[10:18] closer here

[10:28] i invite you to be here just as you are

[10:32] with whatever beliefs you hold

[10:35] with whatever is happening in your mind

[10:37] today with whatever is happening in the

[10:39] emotions today with whatever is

[10:41] happening in the body whether you feel

[10:43] like you're as bright as the sun or in a

[10:46] dark hole right now i invite you

[10:49] fully holy just as you are to be here

[10:56] the soul

[10:58] is a an endless well of compassion

[11:03] and i also invite

[11:05] that

[11:07] you don't need to agree with me

[11:10] i beloved

[11:13] oh aisha's asking inhale arm moved up

[11:17] exhale arms move down it's actually

[11:19] simultaneous

[11:21] so the inhale there they're separating

[11:23] so they're going like this

[11:24] and then the exhale they come back

[11:26] together

[11:27] inhale they separate exhale they come

[11:29] back together like that

[11:34] uh

[11:35] you may not agree with what i have to

[11:38] say

[11:39] with what i say and that's okay

[11:42] that's totally okay

[11:44] maybe you resonate with some of the

[11:46] things that i say and some

[11:48] of the things not so much and that is

[11:50] also okay

[11:51] you're very welcome to be here even if

[11:54] we're not

[11:55] on the same page this is an exploration

[11:58] and this is regardless of what i say in

[12:01] this five-week series

[12:03] this is about you with your experience

[12:05] with yourself

[12:07] thank you thank you for the hearts i see

[12:09] your hearts i see you i feel you i'm

[12:12] grateful

[12:13] and if you wish relax your hands

[12:16] and just start to absorb this energy

[12:20] there's an energy here

[12:22] in this space together

[12:26] there's something that starts to wake up

[12:28] within us

[12:29] when we turn our attention toward the

[12:31] soul

[12:34] so let's start briefly just kind of

[12:36] speaking about

[12:38] what

[12:38] what is the soul through my experience

[12:41] through the teachings that

[12:44] i have

[12:45] been part of

[12:49] the soul

[12:51] is this

[12:54] aspect

[12:55] of

[12:56] you

[12:59] that

[13:00] has been with you lifetime after

[13:02] lifetime and again you may not believe

[13:04] in lifetimes maybe you don't believe in

[13:07] reincarnation you believe in one life

[13:09] you don't believe in soul at all but

[13:10] you're just kind of curious about what

[13:12] this is about you're totally welcome

[13:14] here you may be atheist agnostic you may

[13:17] believe that when the body dissolves

[13:20] there's nothing left that's okay

[13:22] be here with us if you wish maybe you're

[13:24] just attracted to be here for some

[13:26] reason you don't know why and that's

[13:27] totally okay

[13:31] so the soul

[13:35] [Music]

[13:36] i see your comment nathan

[13:40] the soul has been with us

[13:42] lifetime after lifetime

[13:46] through everything that we've gone

[13:48] through

[13:51] it is

[13:53] in a way our

[13:56] greatest ally maybe we could say

[14:00] our most beloved

[14:03] this presence that has been with us all

[14:06] along

[14:08] no matter how

[14:10] alone we've felt or how much pain we've

[14:13] experienced or how much joy we've

[14:15] experienced the soul has been with us

[14:18] through all of these experiences

[14:21] all of them

[14:24] and some of you are familiar with

[14:26] the idea of a higher self or the i am

[14:30] presence or this source energy or the

[14:33] source self

[14:34] this idea that we are all this oneness

[14:37] of source energy

[14:39] maybe you you use the word god or allah

[14:42] or something like this but there is this

[14:45] one source energy we are all this same

[14:48] source energy no different

[14:50] and then there's this individuated

[14:52] experience

[14:55] you might imagine like a big bright sun

[14:58] this big beautiful sun

[15:00] and then you know sometimes we see in in

[15:02] paintings or even children's drawings we

[15:05] see a sun is depicted with these rays of

[15:07] light yes so it's like this circle of

[15:09] light and then these rays of light

[15:13] we are all this one sun

[15:15] and these rays of light

[15:18] are our experience

[15:20] of individuation this illusion of

[15:23] separateness

[15:24] when all the while we are all still in

[15:27] source we are all still this magnificent

[15:30] light

[15:31] this oneness that this this sun is

[15:35] so these individual rays or seemingly

[15:38] individual rays are what we might

[15:41] consider to be the soul

[15:43] this experience

[15:45] of an individual in the oneness that we

[15:49] are

[15:53] and

[15:54] the soul

[15:56] as much as it has all of these

[15:58] experiences

[16:02] it has been through all of these human

[16:04] experiences with us

[16:07] it is in its essence pure

[16:11] pure

[16:16] no matter the pain

[16:18] we might have gone through or the the

[16:20] darkness we might have experienced or

[16:22] maybe that we're experiencing right now

[16:25] the soul is this light that is ever

[16:27] present

[16:34] and this is all about our relationship

[16:36] with our soul that's what these five

[16:38] weeks are about okay i have this soul

[16:42] maybe some of you

[16:43] feel that you do have a soul maybe you

[16:45] relate to your soul maybe you

[16:48] have some kind of an experience of a

[16:49] connection with your soul but maybe

[16:52] you're just wanting more of a

[16:53] relationship so how do we cultivate

[16:56] a relationship with this light that we

[16:58] are

[17:00] so often when we speak about the

[17:02] spirituality or different concepts like

[17:04] this

[17:05] we speak about it in a way that makes it

[17:08] sound separate from who we are right and

[17:10] that's just so that the intellectual

[17:12] mind can understand or you know attempt

[17:15] to understand something that is that is

[17:17] not separate

[17:19] we are not separate from the soul i'll

[17:21] just take a little side note here

[17:23] something that i find so beautiful and

[17:26] and and resonate with

[17:28] um you know for many of us when we think

[17:30] of the soul we think of the physical

[17:32] body

[17:34] as the vehicle yes the physical body is

[17:37] the vehicle it is the vessel

[17:40] for the soul

[17:41] for this light that we are

[17:43] and so here's the body and then the soul

[17:46] is inside of the body right

[17:48] i know many of you also have you know

[17:51] grown up or had this idea that the soul

[17:53] is in the body

[17:55] however the soul is this magnificent

[17:58] light like a sun and so what's really

[18:02] beautiful is sometimes you'll see

[18:03] depictions of this pictures paintings

[18:06] things like this

[18:07] is that the body

[18:09] is actually within the soul

[18:13] i wish i had a picture right here to

[18:14] show you i don't maybe next next time

[18:16] i'll bring a picture to share

[18:18] maybe one day we'll have the ability to

[18:20] have slides in these live sessions so i

[18:22] can share some really clear digital

[18:25] images

[18:26] um

[18:27] but the the light of the soul is this

[18:29] magnificent so the physical body

[18:31] although it is the vessel for our

[18:33] experience as human

[18:36] the soul is not just in but all around

[18:39] it is this light that we are

[18:43] yes steve i will i will bring some

[18:45] pictures next time

[18:48] so tatiana's asking a question

[18:51] would you say that our soul spirit and

[18:54] consciousness is the same thing just

[18:56] different names for the same concept oh

[18:58] that's such a great question

[19:00] and there are of course different

[19:02] schools of thought when it comes to this

[19:04] and so i will share what i have learned

[19:09] even the word consciousness

[19:11] has different

[19:12] uh

[19:14] definitions

[19:16] so again i'll share what i learned from

[19:18] the

[19:19] the yogic teachings i've been involved

[19:21] in since birth and my beloved teacher

[19:23] saima who i've been studying with for

[19:25] over 20 years and

[19:27] and different teachers that have

[19:29] been a grace in my life

[19:33] and who knows maybe my i actually i'm

[19:36] sure i imagine that my understanding of

[19:38] this will evolve over time through

[19:40] experience as well

[19:42] my understanding is that

[19:46] there is this

[19:47] one unbounded ocean

[19:50] of consciousness

[19:52] and

[19:55] i like to think of this as source

[19:57] some teachings would say that

[19:59] consciousness is an aspect from source

[20:02] so let's imagine i really wish i had

[20:04] slides for this let's imagine

[20:07] here is source

[20:08] source

[20:09] is non-duality it is oneness there is no

[20:13] separation in source

[20:15] it is the essence

[20:17] of one

[20:18] whatever that means yes

[20:21] source is all

[20:22] no differentiation

[20:25] and then out of source comes an

[20:27] expression of self

[20:29] and and so sometimes we hear about

[20:32] consciousness

[20:33] as an expression

[20:35] of life that comes from source

[20:39] i often think about consciousness

[20:41] as source itself but i guess if you

[20:44] think about what the word conscious

[20:46] means it means that something that is

[20:48] aware right so we might think of this

[20:50] oneness as source

[20:52] that we are all that we are always

[20:55] and then consciousness as an expression

[20:57] of the awareness

[20:59] of source

[21:00] and then consciousness moves

[21:03] into these individuated forms

[21:05] so you have source

[21:07] then you have awareness

[21:09] then you have

[21:10] the illusion of individuation the

[21:12] illusion of separateness

[21:14] okay here is the soul the soul is an

[21:16] individual expression

[21:19] of

[21:20] this experience and then of course the

[21:22] body is even more of an individual

[21:25] expression of this experience where we

[21:28] really get to experience that we're

[21:29] separate we really think that that you

[21:32] know we are this this body this mind

[21:35] these emotions

[21:36] and we get very lost in that yes it's

[21:38] part of this this maya this dream

[21:41] and and the beauty of the experience as

[21:43] well

[21:45] uh

[21:46] yes steve steve is sharing this language

[21:48] is so tricky and so lovely yeah it's

[21:51] it's a whole

[21:52] a whole new way of thinking especially

[21:54] if this is

[21:56] new for you

[21:57] so you know maybe one of the simple ways

[21:59] we can come back to

[22:01] playing with this in our minds is there

[22:03] is source which is oneness

[22:05] and we are all source

[22:07] and then the soul is this more

[22:10] individuated expression

[22:12] now not too long ago i heard my beloved

[22:14] teacher saima say that the soul is also

[22:19] the same and so my mind was like or

[22:21] decades of understanding something that

[22:24] i thought i understood and maybe i don't

[22:26] understand it at all now so i i'm not uh

[22:29] what is it the jury's out on my

[22:30] understanding of of the soul

[22:33] and i guess

[22:34] you know we could really play with this

[22:36] forever and just get stuck on one point

[22:38] because if you look through the lens of

[22:41] duality meaning separateness

[22:44] things look very different than we than

[22:46] if we were to look at through the lens

[22:48] of of

[22:49] of non-duality when there is non-duality

[22:52] everything i'm saying here is just

[22:53] washed away

[22:55] because there is no separateness there

[22:56] is no individuation there is no

[22:59] discernment

[23:00] or distinction it is all one so it's all

[23:04] the lens we look through again

[23:06] when we speak about so many of these uh

[23:10] spiritual concepts we speak about them

[23:13] in a way that sounds separate and that

[23:15] is how the intellectual mind can

[23:17] understand

[23:20] so here we have and feel free uh if if

[23:24] okay so tatiana's coming back great

[23:26] tattoo i was just gonna ask you

[23:28] so you're saying so according to this

[23:30] theory consciousness

[23:32] is all that is

[23:34] is all that

[23:35] is there

[23:36] and each of us is the extension

[23:40] on this consciousness or source in

[23:42] separate physical bodies

[23:46] i like what aisha is saying right after

[23:47] that to kind of follow up to your

[23:49] question there tatiana we are all

[23:51] aspects of source experiencing sources

[23:54] self

[23:57] so again we can really get lost in

[23:59] trying to define it and what i'd like to

[24:02] move into is more experience for us

[24:06] we can get caught up

[24:08] in

[24:09] the analyzation and the intellect

[24:13] of what is soul and what is one and what

[24:16] is separate and we could spend a lot of

[24:18] time there and that's totally okay that

[24:20] can be fun that can be

[24:22] enlightened sometimes revealing

[24:25] and what i'd as much as we will move

[24:27] into some of these concepts during this

[24:29] five-week series i'd also really like

[24:31] for us to start to have experiences

[24:35] because no matter what i'm saying each

[24:38] of us here might experience our soul

[24:41] or our relationship to soul very

[24:43] differently

[24:45] so i feel it's less about understanding

[24:47] a concept

[24:49] and more about exploring

[24:51] what is my experience of soul

[24:56] what is the experience of

[24:58] of the soul that i am

[25:05] so

[25:06] tatiana's asking right or not based on

[25:09] the question so tatiana i'm not sure if

[25:12] you received an answer and what we were

[25:14] just speaking to

[25:16] but play with it play with it we can

[25:18] think about

[25:20] again i like this idea of this image of

[25:22] this sun

[25:23] you imagine

[25:25] this big bright sun

[25:28] and when you see a sun and you see those

[25:30] little

[25:30] rays of light coming out of the sun

[25:34] think about it right now

[25:36] you know sometimes there are those

[25:37] magical days where you look up in the

[25:39] sky

[25:40] and you look at the clouds and the light

[25:43] of the sun is pouring through and it's

[25:45] like these clear pillars of light just

[25:48] pouring through like oh you know like

[25:50] heaven moments pouring down to the earth

[25:53] when you see those rays of light do you

[25:55] think oh those are separate from the sun

[25:58] or do you think oh look at the sunlight

[26:02] we see it as the sun

[26:04] when we see those rays of light we think

[26:06] sun

[26:08] that is the oneness

[26:10] so it we we might consider this when we

[26:13] think of soul

[26:15] the soul is that light

[26:17] that that ray of light pouring down

[26:21] but it's not separate

[26:23] it's not something separate

[26:26] okay great great great

[26:29] oh

[26:30] all my little

[26:31] hairs are tickling my face

[26:35] [Laughter]

[26:38] so i'd like to take us into a bit of an

[26:41] exploration here

[26:45] because this for me is such

[26:48] a special way to start to connect with

[26:50] what does it feel like to be with my

[26:52] soul

[26:56] so you're welcome to have your eyes open

[26:57] or closed

[27:04] and let's just imagine

[27:06] just for the sake of exploration let's

[27:08] imagine that reincarnation does exist

[27:10] totally okay if you don't believe in it

[27:12] but for the sake of playing here i

[27:14] invite you to give it a try

[27:17] so imagine a long long time ago

[27:22] you took your first birth

[27:25] actually let's go back even before that

[27:29] imagine a long long long long long long

[27:32] long time ago

[27:35] when you were still in source

[27:40] in the oneness

[27:42] of all of creation that you are

[27:46] and that everything else is

[27:49] resting

[27:50] in source

[27:54] and then source

[27:56] becoming conscious becoming aware says

[27:59] i would like to experience myself

[28:04] and so from this source

[28:08] comes this ray of light

[28:11] this individual ray of light

[28:14] that is you as source beginning to move

[28:17] out into an experience of itself

[28:22] so there's this ray of light this

[28:24] consciousness this soul

[28:28] that then takes

[28:31] a human body

[28:33] meaning

[28:34] taking on a human experience

[28:39] and as the soul

[28:42] is in the womb it's having this

[28:45] experience then of being born

[28:50] and here you are

[28:52] in your first

[28:54] human incarnation and of course if you

[28:56] don't believe in incarnation and this is

[28:58] just too much just imagine this lifetime

[29:02] the soul has chosen

[29:04] to take a human birth

[29:07] by the way many beautiful

[29:10] spiritual teachings from many different

[29:12] places in the world

[29:15] say that

[29:17] to have a human experience and

[29:19] incarnation

[29:20] of being human is

[29:22] is beyond precious all life is beyond

[29:25] precious but

[29:27] souls wait

[29:29] thousands and thousands of lifetimes

[29:33] to be able to take human form and this

[29:35] comes from different traditions not just

[29:37] yogic traditions

[29:40] so here you are taking this incarnation

[29:44] we'll call it your first

[29:47] and you go through all of these

[29:49] experiences

[29:51] pain

[29:53] fulfillment disappointment

[29:57] fear

[29:58] joy

[30:00] making so many mistakes as each of us do

[30:04] as human beings

[30:07] and the whole time you're unaware

[30:09] because you've forgotten

[30:11] part of having the human experience is

[30:12] that we forget

[30:14] we forget that we are source because if

[30:16] i remembered think of it if i remembered

[30:18] right now that i am one with everything

[30:22] would i be able to still have this play

[30:24] of life the dramas the anger the rage

[30:28] the sadness the fear the shame

[30:31] oh

[30:32] if i knew that i was in harmony with all

[30:34] of creation

[30:36] and that everything and everyone around

[30:38] me is just me and i am them

[30:42] if i knew that i was in the heart of

[30:45] source or you might say the heart of god

[30:48] i would not have a human experience the

[30:50] same way

[30:52] because i would know

[30:54] in every fiber of my being that all is

[30:56] well

[30:59] so part of the journey

[31:00] of taking the human form is the

[31:02] forgetfulness

[31:06] so here i am having this human

[31:08] experience i forget that i am one with

[31:10] all of life

[31:12] and i also forget that i am soul

[31:15] i think i'm human

[31:17] i think that i am the pain that i

[31:19] experience

[31:21] i think that i

[31:22] am

[31:23] what's happening in the body mind and

[31:25] emotions

[31:28] and even though i've forgotten soul

[31:31] soul has not forgotten me

[31:34] soul is with me

[31:38] the entire time

[31:40] through all of those experiences

[31:43] present

[31:45] loving patient just there

[31:49] just there allowing me to have my human

[31:51] experience

[31:55] and then this happens again and again

[31:58] and again

[32:00] again and again

[32:03] we take birth as a human being

[32:05] and we forget

[32:08] and we go through life experiences

[32:11] forgetting that the soul is always here

[32:21] imagine

[32:24] imagine you are the presence of soul

[32:29] and through and and imagine that you're

[32:32] watching your personality for example

[32:35] imagine you are the presence of soul and

[32:38] you're watching your personality get

[32:40] really angry at so and so

[32:43] and feel really hurt by that friend

[32:46] and betrayed by that partner

[32:49] and alone and crying in your room

[32:52] imagine your soul and you've been with

[32:55] the personality this whole time

[32:58] but the personality will say

[33:02] the humanness doesn't remember that

[33:04] you're there

[33:06] it doesn't remember but you you're there

[33:09] you're there loving this human self

[33:11] you're there caring for this human self

[33:14] even though the human self never

[33:17] even remembers you're there

[33:22] so imagine what do we do as human beings

[33:28] we're always seeking aren't we

[33:32] and for most of us due to

[33:36] our conditioning

[33:37] society

[33:40] biology

[33:42] we're always seeking for something

[33:44] outside

[33:47] oh when am i going to meet my soul mate

[33:50] oh when am i going to meet the one

[33:53] oh when am i going to have enough money

[33:55] how can i have enough money so that i

[33:57] feel safe so that i feel relaxed so that

[33:59] i can feel free

[34:02] oh how can i how can i know my life

[34:05] purpose so i can feel fulfilled

[34:09] oh how can i how can i exercise and do

[34:13] things so that my body will look a

[34:14] certain way and feel a certain way so

[34:17] that i'll be

[34:18] seen and thought of as lovable or

[34:20] acceptable in society so that i will

[34:22] finally have respect for myself

[34:24] we live our lives seeking this deep

[34:27] longinus within us and we spend it

[34:29] looking outside

[34:32] the whole time

[34:35] it's so rare

[34:37] that we really turn inward even so many

[34:39] of us that have meditation practices

[34:41] even decades of meditation

[34:44] and and spiritual seeking

[34:46] we're still looking outside so many of

[34:49] us aren't we

[34:50] maybe we know meditation helps us quiet

[34:53] the mind but we still think that oh if i

[34:55] just had a better job or a better

[34:58] relationship i would feel peace

[35:00] i would feel loved

[35:05] so imagine then

[35:08] your beloved precious soul

[35:12] has been with you

[35:13] through lifetime after lifetime of

[35:16] seeking

[35:19] it has watched you go from one

[35:21] relationship to the next one job to the

[35:24] next one diet fat or exercise routine or

[35:28] or new plant medicine or something it's

[35:31] watched you go from thing to thing to

[35:34] thing

[35:34] looking for something

[35:39] imagine how your soul would feel

[35:44] the day that you finally realized

[35:48] that soul has always been here

[35:52] and rather than looking outside with

[35:55] your back to your soul

[35:58] hoping that another soul will make you

[36:01] feel lovable or worthy rather than your

[36:04] back being to your soul for the first

[36:06] time

[36:08] you turn around

[36:10] and you see

[36:12] you see that soul has been with you

[36:15] all along

[36:19] you see and feel that soul has loved you

[36:22] more than any love you've ever longed

[36:25] for

[36:27] and that soul has been here

[36:32] imagine how your soul would feel

[36:35] how would your soul feel

[36:37] if you finally truly

[36:40] turned toward your soul

[36:43] rather than looking for everything

[36:45] outside of you or every change you think

[36:48] you need to make

[36:50] to make you feel whole

[36:52] what would it feel like for your soul

[36:56] for you to finally say ah i see you

[37:02] i see you and i'm so grateful you've

[37:04] been with me all along

[37:12] what does that feel right now my friends

[37:14] what does that feel like right now just

[37:16] to imagine that

[37:21] and you're welcome just to be in your

[37:22] experience of it or to share in the chat

[37:25] if you wish

[37:28] what would it feel like for your soul to

[37:31] finally be seen

[37:32] and remembered

[37:45] you know shares

[37:46] in love with what you are saying thank

[37:48] you feels like there is hope

[37:51] steve shares bold

[37:55] destiny shares relief

[37:57] how would your soul feel if after

[38:03] millennia you finally remembered

[38:06] that your beloved has always been

[38:10] right here

[38:14] tenderness

[38:16] calm

[38:18] grateful

[38:19] warm

[38:26] yeah

[38:29] recognized open

[38:33] feel like home

[38:36] yeah

[38:38] peaceful

[38:41] yeah

[38:44] beautiful thanks for sharing everyone

[38:46] yes coming home to who i really am

[38:49] complete

[38:52] yes yes yes

[38:55] yes exactly harmonious yes just let them

[38:58] keep coming and we'll just keep sharing

[39:01] as you wish my beloveds

[39:03] exactly

[39:06] so that's why we're here

[39:09] we're here to cultivate this precious

[39:12] relationship this

[39:14] most precious relationship

[39:17] that has always been here it's always

[39:20] been here

[39:22] always

[39:24] always

[39:27] how good would it feel my friends

[39:30] just imagine it with me if you like or

[39:32] maybe you know this experience already

[39:36] how good would it feel

[39:39] to wake up in the morning

[39:41] with a full heart feeling enveloped in

[39:44] the light of your soul

[39:46] just imagine that you wake up in the

[39:48] morning

[39:49] there's no aloneness

[39:51] there's no worry

[39:52] there's no feeling that something's

[39:54] wrong or lacking there's no immediate

[39:58] jumping into the mind to think about all

[40:00] the things you have to do and change to

[40:02] be a better person

[40:04] you wake up and you feel enveloped

[40:08] in the warmth and the light of soul

[40:11] how good would that feel

[40:15] or in your day when you might normally

[40:18] start to get anxious and your mind might

[40:20] start spinning and you start thinking

[40:21] about everything that you have to do and

[40:23] and all the things that need to get done

[40:24] and everything that happened before that

[40:26] was so painful rather than those

[40:29] patterns coming in there's this warmth

[40:31] there's this peacefulness

[40:35] there's this quiet

[40:38] and just give yourself permission to be

[40:41] for a moment

[40:43] not because you feel so overwhelmed you

[40:45] feel like you have to but just because

[40:47] it's the space inside of you

[40:50] this is the grace of cultivating the

[40:52] relationship with the soul

[41:00] tatiana is asking or sharing

[41:03] um

[41:04] i just wonder why

[41:07] aren't we trained to look within since

[41:10] childhood

[41:11] i am thinking whoever created us forgot

[41:14] to give us a manual how to live but

[41:15] that's the point

[41:17] that's the point the point is

[41:20] well two things actually there are many

[41:21] things i could say on this i don't want

[41:22] to go too far off on a tangent here i

[41:24] know what you were saying was kind of

[41:25] rhetorical and kind of a joke you know

[41:28] of course there are many reasons and

[41:29] part of it is that forgetfulness that i

[41:31] was speaking to

[41:33] and there are manuals

[41:36] you know i haven't uh

[41:38] i i've been immersed in yogic teachings

[41:41] since birth and i wasn't raised

[41:43] religious so i haven't explored a bunch

[41:46] of religions to know

[41:48] i know that although

[41:51] many religions from my humble

[41:53] understanding are very tainted by the

[41:55] fearful mind of man

[41:57] that many religions sometimes in their

[42:00] foundation in their core

[42:03] are

[42:04] kind of like a road map

[42:06] for how to feel this divine connection

[42:10] to self

[42:12] it might be looked at through the label

[42:14] of god or things like this but it is so

[42:17] much of what we're speaking about

[42:19] if you really look at the foundation of

[42:21] so many spiritual teachings or even

[42:23] religious teachings they're very pure in

[42:26] heart and then there's a bunch of other

[42:28] stuff that that is from that fearful

[42:30] mind in my again humble opinion i'm not

[42:33] here to say that i'm right i'm

[42:34] definitely not here to say that your uh

[42:37] religion is as bad or wrong just saying

[42:40] that the mind of man

[42:42] tends to taint things not because man is

[42:45] bad human is bad but because there's so

[42:48] much fear in the system of the human

[42:50] being there's so much fear how could the

[42:54] human being even interpret even divine

[42:57] messages

[42:59] when it when it is so saturated in fear

[43:01] how could it even interpret those purely

[43:04] if there wasn't some opening

[43:07] you know and so many of us just live in

[43:09] so much fear so our perception of life

[43:12] is through that lens of fear

[43:14] not always you know our essence is not

[43:16] that fear it's not who we are but that's

[43:18] how so many of us experience the world

[43:22] so coming all the way back around i i

[43:25] have been exposed to yogic teachings my

[43:27] whole life and my understanding is so

[43:31] much of what yoga is and i'm not

[43:32] speaking just about the physical

[43:34] postures

[43:35] yoga is very much a way of life

[43:39] it is it is so much of what we're

[43:41] speaking to and many of these different

[43:43] teachings

[43:44] are exactly what we're speaking about

[43:46] they are road maps

[43:48] they are road maps to come into harmony

[43:52] with self

[43:54] to be in harmony with the world around

[43:57] us

[43:58] and within that inner and outer harmony

[44:01] we have more profound experiences

[44:04] of this light that we are this soul that

[44:06] we are this source that we are

[44:11] so just to kind of catch there uh what

[44:13] you were saying there tatyana

[44:17] let's take a breath together shall we

[44:20] i was going to say something but let's

[44:21] take a moment to just take a breath this

[44:23] is a lot

[44:24] of information and i'm also curious as

[44:27] we take a breath

[44:30] if you're starting to feel something

[44:32] waking up within you

[44:34] is there anything shifting inside of you

[44:37] right now

[44:38] maybe it feels uncomfortable maybe it

[44:40] feels relaxing maybe it feels

[44:42] uh like it there's some resistance maybe

[44:45] you feel like you're being held in the

[44:47] arms of love

[44:48] just kind of notice let's take a breath

[44:53] what is happening in your inner world

[44:56] in this time together here

[45:05] oh that's beautiful yuri's response to

[45:08] what does it feel like

[45:10] turning toward the soul was

[45:12] uh finally allowed to grieve beginning

[45:15] of healing ah that's i feel that i

[45:17] really feel what you're saying so deep

[45:19] within my heart

[45:21] it's like this

[45:24] yeah

[45:25] because when we live in the illusion of

[45:27] separateness

[45:29] separateness from soul from god from

[45:31] source from each other it's so painful

[45:34] we live in so much pain

[45:37] and it's when we turn toward ourselves

[45:39] with love and

[45:41] start to remember that so much of that

[45:44] pain starts to dissolve

[45:47] it's not always easy

[45:50] many of you know

[45:52] bits and pieces of my personal story

[45:57] and

[46:01] this lifetime alone

[46:04] yeah as all of us

[46:06] i um i've experienced tremendous amounts

[46:09] of pain i mean like the throes of

[46:11] suffering

[46:13] profound pain and suffering

[46:16] i'm not here um

[46:17] [Music]

[46:22] i am here

[46:26] loving you

[46:28] grateful for you

[46:30] and

[46:32] i am here as someone who continues

[46:35] to go through what we might call the

[46:38] darkness

[46:39] in the process of

[46:42] this returning to the self

[46:45] and it's kind of a funny way to think

[46:46] about it because how can you return to

[46:48] something that's never left

[46:50] but that's the experience that we have

[46:52] right

[46:53] we feel separate from self we feel

[46:55] separate from soul we feel separate from

[46:57] god and it's so painful

[47:00] but it's always been right here we've

[47:03] always been right here

[47:05] loving

[47:06] caring patiently waiting

[47:08] for our minds

[47:12] to start to remember to be curious to

[47:15] explore

[47:16] who am i

[47:18] where is

[47:20] soul

[47:24] oh beautiful beautiful

[47:29] beautiful friends

[47:32] crying great release something shifts

[47:38] overwhelmed with feelings but trying to

[47:40] breathe

[47:43] completely relaxed for the first time

[47:47] and allowing myself not to overthink

[47:52] oh thank you my beloved monika and my

[47:55] soul just loves yours

[47:59] i like this idea too that all of our

[48:01] souls are actually also one soul

[48:06] oh can you feel that love that love of

[48:09] the soul just loving the soul

[48:13] thanks for sharing my sweet sweet

[48:15] friends

[48:17] so

[48:19] we'll start to wrap up here shortly but

[48:21] i'd like to leave us and i'd like to

[48:23] leave us

[48:24] with an exercise that we can

[48:28] that we can practice until we're

[48:30] together again i think our next i think

[48:32] i have to double check i think all of

[48:35] these

[48:36] soul

[48:37] uh

[48:38] relationships nourishing the

[48:40] relationship with the soul sessions are

[48:42] at the same time

[48:43] i almost said the old time we see me

[48:45] what is today today is wednesday and my

[48:47] time zone

[48:49] at 6 00 pm eastern so i think we

[48:52] continue but you can always again check

[48:54] my live schedule on the profile page

[48:56] to uh

[48:59] to see there all right ready you ready

[49:01] to uh

[49:03] thank you sanji for sharing that thank

[49:05] you yeah

[49:07] feeling exhausted and

[49:11] and part of what i

[49:13] um

[49:18] i know for me

[49:20] that some of the most profound

[49:22] exhaustion i've ever felt

[49:24] was fighting life

[49:26] and holding on to the pain and the

[49:29] suffering of the separateness

[49:32] and sometimes that's just the process we

[49:35] have to go through

[49:36] we might think we're exhausted because

[49:38] of our relationships we might think

[49:40] we're exhausted because of our jobs or

[49:43] things and all those although those

[49:45] things definitely impact us and can

[49:48] create a sense of exhaustion there's a

[49:50] deeper

[49:51] a deeper exhaustion

[49:53] that many of us experience and that is

[49:56] that exhaustion of feeling separate from

[49:58] life from god from source from self

[50:02] and

[50:02] what i have found in my life

[50:06] again as i was saying so often it is a

[50:09] it's a journey it's not like oh great

[50:11] okay here's my soul everything is better

[50:13] now like it's it's a journey of going

[50:15] through these dark places these painful

[50:18] experiences in this process of expanding

[50:20] of peeling the layers of the old so i

[50:23] can remember who i am so there's that

[50:25] aspect and what i can also share at this

[50:28] point having had years of state shifts

[50:31] within myself

[50:34] is

[50:36] so much of what i might feel exhausted

[50:39] by

[50:40] in my daily life is mental exhaustion

[50:44] mental exhaustion that moves into

[50:46] emotional exhaustion

[50:49] and when i am at home

[50:51] in myself when i really feel this

[50:57] where the soul is embodying the

[50:59] personality

[51:01] all of those things that were exhausting

[51:03] me before they just start to dissolve

[51:05] i don't have to fix all of the problems

[51:07] i don't have to change my whole life

[51:09] around i don't have to go through years

[51:11] of therapy and healing there's this

[51:14] dissolving that starts to happen

[51:17] when the soul is embodying the

[51:19] personality the humanness it doesn't

[51:22] mean that there isn't still

[51:23] room to

[51:25] work you know with therapists or coaches

[51:28] or to work on trauma and healing trauma

[51:30] from the physicality it doesn't mean

[51:32] that all of these things aren't still

[51:34] available to us and even necessary

[51:37] i'm just sharing that when i start to

[51:40] relax into the soul

[51:44] so much of what was exhausting me before

[51:46] starts to dissolve and disappear

[51:50] and so i share that as maybe a

[51:52] an invitation a light at the end of the

[51:55] tunnel

[51:56] a reminder for each of us that

[52:00] that that beauty that freedom that

[52:02] peacefulness is right here it's right

[52:05] here

[52:06] and part of this five-week journey is

[52:08] okay if it's right here how the heck do

[52:11] i find it

[52:12] yeah so that's what we're doing together

[52:17] a oh beautiful jason thanks for sharing

[52:20] that

[52:22] all right my love so this is uh an

[52:25] exercise that i invite you to use

[52:28] every day until we see each other again

[52:30] and even beyond that if you wish and if

[52:32] we never see each other again if you

[52:35] didn't resonate with most of what i said

[52:37] but only a little bit i invite you just

[52:39] to try this on

[52:41] just try this on and see what happens

[52:44] so

[52:46] um my soul gets so happy when i'm just

[52:48] like it knows what we're about to do and

[52:50] like there's this bubbling that's

[52:52] happening inside of me this is part of

[52:55] the beauty too of cultivating the

[52:56] relationship with the soul again the

[52:59] intellect experiences the soul is

[53:01] something different but really what i'm

[53:02] experiencing is this

[53:04] this bubbling bliss and joy from with

[53:07] the center of my being

[53:09] each time i turn toward the soul

[53:12] so you're welcome to have your eyes

[53:14] opened or closed sometimes it's easier

[53:16] to close them or just let the gaze be

[53:18] soft so we're less distracted by things

[53:21] outside

[53:23] and you may wish to have your hands on

[53:24] your heart or if you can't move your

[53:26] body imagine that your hands are holding

[53:29] your beautiful beautiful precious tender

[53:32] heart

[53:35] and then

[53:36] i invite you to repeat

[53:38] these words to yourself

[53:41] and you after a little bit of repeating

[53:43] it you might find that there's a more

[53:46] authentic way for you to be speaking to

[53:48] your soul and if that arises just go for

[53:51] it just let you just let your authentic

[53:54] words to your soul start to come out

[53:56] we'll start repeating these words though

[54:00] and you might imagine your soul maybe

[54:02] you you feel your soul is in your body

[54:05] or you feel like your soul isn't

[54:06] standing across from you or above you or

[54:08] below you

[54:10] start to imagine that you can feel your

[54:12] soul

[54:13] and if you don't feel anything that's

[54:16] totally okay

[54:17] you're not doing anything wrong let's

[54:19] just

[54:20] play with this idea that we can sense

[54:22] the soul someplace

[54:24] or at least have an intellectual idea of

[54:28] soul is here

[54:32] and then we'll repeat these words from

[54:34] our hearts

[54:36] to soul

[54:40] oh my beloved

[54:42] precious soul

[54:47] i love you

[54:52] i need you in my life

[54:58] oh my soul you are so beautiful

[55:06] you are so precious

[55:14] my sweet soul fill me with your light

[55:20] fill me with your love

[55:26] anchor yourself and my entire being

[55:34] so i may remember i am a soul

[55:43] i am soul having a human experience

[55:52] i am the light of soul

[55:59] oh my precious soul i need you

[56:04] i feel so alone at times i feel so much

[56:08] pain

[56:09] fill me with your love

[56:13] hold me my precious soul hold me close

[56:22] hold me wrap me in your love

[56:28] wrap me in your peace

[56:37] let me feel how loved i am by you

[56:47] oh my beloved soul

[56:50] i need you i love you

[56:52] i love you

[57:01] thank you for teaching me how to love

[57:04] you

[57:13] my beloved soul

[57:15] i give you permission

[57:18] to embody me fully

[57:26] my beloved precious soul

[57:31] i give you permission to embody me fully

[57:41] oh my beloved precious soul

[57:46] i am yours

[57:49] i am yours

[58:07] begin to speak to your soul

[58:12] every day

[58:17] and if there's

[58:20] one time to really develop this as a

[58:22] habit i invite you

[58:25] you think of me think of my voice

[58:29] reminding you ah

[58:31] you've opened your eyes

[58:34] you've just woken up for the day

[58:37] it's time to speak to your soul with

[58:39] love

[58:41] so you wake up you start to realize

[58:43] you're waking up

[58:45] and before your mind takes you anywhere

[58:47] else you choose

[58:49] to speak to your soul hands on your

[58:52] heart oh my beloved soul good morning

[58:55] i love you

[58:57] thank you for filling me with your love

[58:59] with your grace with your peace

[59:03] thank you for teaching me

[59:06] to love as you love

[59:08] for showing me that i am loved

[59:12] my beloved soul i give you permission to

[59:15] embody me fully

[59:22] so this is the invitation

[59:27] to be with your soul and to speak to

[59:31] your soul every day

[59:35] every day

[59:38] start to

[59:39] build to cultivate

[59:41] this relationship with soul

[59:51] and it doesn't matter if you're in a bad

[59:53] mood it doesn't matter if you're really

[59:55] upset it doesn't matter if you're really

[59:58] depressed or anxious call on your soul

[1:00:01] your soul loves you and every

[1:00:04] single aspect of you

[1:00:06] there is nothing you could ever do

[1:00:09] think or say

[1:00:11] that would take the love of your soul

[1:00:13] from you your soul loves you just as you

[1:00:15] are

[1:00:17] all of you

[1:00:18] all

[1:00:20] of you

[1:00:30] okay

[1:00:32] thank you

[1:00:34] thank you all thank you for your love

[1:00:36] and blessings

[1:00:38] my soul is just pouring pouring pouring

[1:00:42] out all of its love and gratitude to

[1:00:44] each and every one of you

[1:00:48] thank you for

[1:00:51] being part of giving my soul a space to

[1:00:54] express itself in the world

[1:00:57] to love

[1:00:59] i'm so so deeply grateful to each and

[1:01:02] every one of you

[1:01:06] deep deep gratitude

[1:01:21] thank you

[1:01:27] yes claire those dark thoughts are

[1:01:29] habitual clara said that oftentimes

[1:01:33] there's a waking up with dark thoughts

[1:01:34] this is how so many of us live it's a

[1:01:36] habit

[1:01:38] so this is a way we can start to retrain

[1:01:40] the mind rewire the brain

[1:01:42] to welcome something new

[1:01:44] and it may feel difficult the the

[1:01:46] negative or dark thoughts may be coming

[1:01:49] and coming in okay no problem they're

[1:01:52] there it's a pattern they're going to be

[1:01:54] there we don't have to judge ourselves

[1:01:56] we don't have to make ourselves wrong

[1:01:57] for it okay

[1:01:59] here are these dark thoughts i am

Frequently Asked Questions

The soul is described as the eternal aspect of your being that exists across lifetimes, distinct from personality, mind, or emotions. It is an individualized expression of the divine Source, carrying wisdom and continuity that transcends the current body and life circumstances.
Begin by turning your attention inward through practices like meditation, breathwork, or simply asking "What is my experience of soul?" The soul's presence often reveals itself as a sense of spaciousness, compassion, and unconditional acceptance that is always available beneath the noise of thoughts and emotions.
Source (or God, Spirit, the Divine) is the ultimate unity from which everything emerges. The soul is an individualized expression of that Source—like a ray of sunlight from the sun. While there is no true separation (non-duality), the soul carries a unique journey and expression.
Most people live primarily from the mind and personality, conditioned by survival fears, patterns, and distractions. The soul's quiet, compassionate presence can be drowned out by mental noise. Cultivating a relationship with the soul requires gentle, patient retraining of your attention through practices like meditation and centering techniques.
Yes. The soul does not judge your state or require you to be healed, worthy, or enlightened. It holds an endless well of compassion and is always present, even in your darkest moments. The soul's love is unconditional and does not depend on your circumstances or emotional state.
Place your hands together at your heart. Inhale as you reach one arm up and move the other hand down by your navel. Exhale slowly, bringing both hands back to your heart. Repeat three to four times, alternating arms. This ancient yoga technique helps align scattered energy and brings you back to your center.
Non-duality is the teaching that there is no ultimate separation between your soul and the divine Source. While you experience yourself as an individual with a distinct body and story, from the soul's perspective, everything is one. This does not erase individuality but offers a wider view beyond wounds and patterns.
Start with invitation and receptivity rather than effort. Close your eyes, soften your gaze, and ask to feel your soul's presence. Use phrases like "Fill me with your love" and notice what arises—warmth, peace, or quiet knowing. Practice daily and be patient with the retraining process.
